I've had tons of expansion from this exercise, the only thing I felt to be a little lacking is that I wanted to work on the expansion of my glans as intensely as I was the rest of my penis. So I've started doing a second type of slow squash jelq recently. This type involves about 95% of the same technique. Instead of starting with the gripping hand at the base I'll start near midshaft and jelq to about an inch below my glans. At this point the glans is full of blood and the squash portion comes into play. I just started doing these recently but it seems to be doing the trick. Note that I do this in addition to the standard ssj's and standard wet jelqing. I follow the whole bit up with some edging (usually clamped but I've broken two of them already ><) and I'm very pleased with the results so far.
