Yeah, boohoo. I'm quad dom too. I can take 275 ass to grass and feel nothing but hams and quads. It's more about leverages than anything.

Yes that was me. I don't squat or deadlift these days. When I get back in shape I'm gonna be all about cardio, bodyweight training, and kettle bells. I did better than most guys back then. 80%+ don't even train their lower body and when they do they don't usually squat below parallel, and couldn't tell you what a deadlift was if their life depended on it. If a guy has the flexibility and range of motion to squat deep, more power to him. I did not, that's a big reason I used such a wide stance like in this video.boohoohoo;625729 said:Is that actually you? If so, that is pretty impressive work.
Now comes the part you are not gonna like. Ass to the grass buddy. You have to get your ass pretty damn low for me to count any of them : )

boohoohoo;625883 said:I was just joking, that was very impressive work. 405 lbs for even a single rep is a huge accomplishment for anyone under 260 lbs. Also, about the body weight stuff, I transitioned to that myself and you can get just as strong with bodyweight work as you can with weights (well up to a certain limit). If you are focused on building extreme strength look into gymnastics type exercises. You can build your shoulders, chest, back, and even legs to extremely impressive degrees well past simple calisthenic work like puships, pullups, etc.
That may be true, but guess what? Where are all the girls in the gym at? That's right, the leg press, glute machines, and cardio equipment.
I was never into powerlifting to see how much I could lift, although I do admire it. When I used to lift weights I did it purely with aesthetics in mind. Any gains I made in weight were just to change/ehance the look of a certain muscle group.
Tbh if I wanted to purely develop my strength I would focus again on stuff like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kw0kXtvOpfU
