I make my living with aesthetic lasers, which includes laser hair removal. Im sorry to tell you guys those small systems will never permantly remove or reduce your hair. They MIGHT temporarily remove hair for a couple weeks but that is all. The hair will always grow back %100. They are a better option than shaving and waxing especially for people with light colored hair(grey, white, red, or blonde). If you don't want to spend the expense of real lasers like an alexandrite or diode, then try Nair, and save the money you were going to spend on those $400 FleshLights on a quality Penis Enlargement device.

Can you elaborate on alexandrites and diodes?

Good discussion.

I was reading some articles yesterday and though there are many opinions, I personally came to a conclusion that a stronger laser might not be the best choice for genitals and that IPL was ideally suited for the penis and scrotum because the follicles are shallow. I'm thinking it is overkill. We think they are stubborn because they are thick hairs, but the opposite may in fact be true as I have read some success stories about no regrowth. However, I cannot say yet if my IPL is working for me. Seems smoother than I would normally expect after two days without shaving. I barely see any growth and I only flashed one pass.

I believe they are talking about a low level laser, one that would not burn.

The Tria laser is supposedly 7 to 20 joules per cm2, and the IPL which I have maxes out at around 5 joules per cm2. Professional systems are going to support much more energy.

From what I read, 7 is about the minimum for killing a follicle. But my opinion, as weak as it is, is that penis/scrotum doesn't need as much energy because they are shallow follicles. I would have tried the Tria had my order not gotten screwed up and the discounted price lost. But I was always kinda worried about the battery and probably that it would die in a year or two, so I wanted a plug-in unit.

The other thing, I dunno but I feel a personal system is warranted here. For one thing, I do it with a hard-on because I do not think it can be effective flashing a wrinkled package.

Alexandrites and diodes are mediums inside the laser that produce the wavelength of light. Alexandrite has a wavelength of 755nm and a the diodes are 810nm( I think). The energy of these devices are adjustable and that determines by skin typed and then hair typed. My lasers require a 220V wall outlet and can produce a lot of power.

What kind if at home products use this and about how much do they run?

Do I hear the future hum of the MOS Laser Removal Gun?:):):)

I don't think any of the at home systems are actual lasers. A true laser is a pure monochromatic colomnated wavelength of light. Ipl( intense pulsed light) is a flash lamp bulb and the light is then filtered to a broad range of wavelengths. So instead of exactly 755nm and ipl might be 640nm to 1300nm. Ipl systems are great units for photo facials that improve redness and dyschromia(brown discoloration). Ipl's also are effective for hair removal. Remember gentleman there is no device on earth that will permanently remove hair. Permanent REDUCTION is the end goal. The at home system are basically shaving with light. Less irritation and no more accidental cuts.

I gotta say that I don't think I personally would do more than 5 joules of energy on a regular basis. Mostly easy-peasy, but hitting a couple of sections on the side of my penis makes my eyes tear up a bit. So far my IPL has been a bit of hit & miss. A patchwork of long & short hairs after a few days LOL. I will say though that the skin is smoother and it's getting rid of some brown spots (which sting btw).

Since I do see some areas with nil growth I do have some hope that I can stun them all into remission.

You and Chas79 should definitely collaborate on one!

Well it all starts tomorrow, everything we have been planing all comes to fruition tomorrow and for the next 2 weeks.

I'm stoked!!!! Two weeks from tomorrow the P.E. scene will be changed forever!

I've done three sessions now with my IPL. Still have growing hair on the shaft and sides but I would say about 50% the original amount of hairs. It's all growing a lot slower though. I think I am making some progress. Each session I use about 25 or so flashes so hopefully the device holds up (I think each bulb is rated for 750-1000). I have a spare bulb.

This is a great thread, keep us posed as you progress. I want to get laser hair removal done, but if this way works, then I don't see why I shouldn't go with this. You're a good sport being the guinea pig!

Not much to tell today. I shaved and did another IPL session last weekend 11/10. I see that my prior IPL session was on 11/2. I had some significant hair growth in that time, but it didn't really bug me, pretty weak compared to the old days.

So far I get about four days or so before I feel any stubble trying to grow. Most is staying bald but I feel some stubble. It seems most effective on the shaft. That is getting smoother and more sparse with each session.

Nice, I got to that same point of only having to shave 3 times a week. Currently my dick is sporting a pretty big bro-fro:) Loosing a good 2" in the jungle:)

Anyone tried using a lighter or candle flame to burn hair off.

Its doable on the shaft.

You have to get the flame the right distance away to not burn yourself tho. LMAO

I got the idea from seeing people do this to get rid of hair on the rim of the ears easily.

candles have a colder flame than lighters which can be better.

I hope your joking. If not then this is one of dumbest things I've ever heard.

I have:) It is very quick and painless if you are fast with the flame. It does sound risky but it is not, the hair burns at a very low temperature compared to the skin.
