* theory of scarce resources (rather than heat) may explain any geographical differences in penis size. the theory is that a large penis requires a larger amount of resources (energy i guess) and that in regions where resources are scarce, smaller penises will be favoured as part of evolution. (some controversial discussion regarding difficulty of terrain/scarcity of resources leading to larger brain size (to deal with difficult terrain) leading to smaller penis size (as larger brain takes resources).


* theory of penis as a 'heat exchanger' generally found not credible. would explain why indians in a hot climate allegedly small penises.


* theory of penis shape designed to shovel out other mens sperm (explains the thrusting before ejaculation apparently). the more unfaithful the women are, the larger the penis tends to be apparently.

leaving aside the tortorous issue of how to measure iq, how much of the difference is environmental etc...

its interesting to note there are MAY be physical differences in race (i have not seen any proper verification this was from a forum).

one theory is that africans did not leave africa, they stayed where they were. europeans and asians left africa and for whatever reason had a tougher environment to deal with and tougher evolution meant they evolved slightly larger brain masses to deal with this. as a result they had less resources to devote to penis size. jewish people for example have had the hardest time through history and some studies of IQ, they score the highest (though this could easily be the result of cultural importance of education in their society). if there is a payoff between resources, this would imply jews had smaller penises.

i have no idea if the above statements are correct or not. indeed they are controversial in the extreme and i would caution against believing unless there is much more evidence. i post them in the spirit of continuing the discussion.
 
Maybe I watch to many things relating to sex but i realize that guys from brazil and are latin and all places like all have monster girth so maybe one of these races might be the biggest.

That's a good question. I think a lot of the appeal for "Big Black" �naked people movies� is tied to some residual taboos, cuckolding and humiliation fetishes, and the appeal of the myth. I don't think "Big Latvian" �naked people movies� would be nearly as successful, but I could be wrong :)

Now THIS is some interesting data! I'd be interested to know if they did a more detailed breakdown, as "Caucasian", "Black" and "Asian" is pretty generalized. Also, how did he obtain those erect measurements?

there is little or no detail on any of this studies as far as i can see as to the methodology. one has to bear in mind some of these studies were written by people with definite biases in mind which they wanted 'evidence' to confirm this...(ie a possible bias would be ,in their heads, they wanted to proved blacks have lower iqs, larger dicks)

kinsey study is flawed/useless as far i can work out due to self reporting and the tiny sample of blacks used; so the 6.3 vs. 6.2 doesn't mean anything.

some of the other studies seem to indicate whites may have bigger dicks on average.

the smallness of asians seems slightly more consistent but again hardly you something you'd hang your hat on.

i'm beginning to think it may only be a myth after all :):):) but lets at least try to find more evidence either way.
