Not sure of I should post this in the bathmate section because this is more about penis enlargement rather than the pump itself.

So far I have gained 3/8" in EL/MEG and 5/8" in BEG pumping in the bathmate for an hour. I thought of upping the time by 15 minutes which would total 75 minutes. My tub water usually cools down alot which decreases expansion often. I come out the pump at 6 3/4" girth and pretty much pack the tube, obviously alot of it is fluid retention but I've been gaining from it.

A thread caught my eye called "Bathmate after 2 months" posted back in 2011. The man, Dan_Cliver, whom gained a substantial amount of size gained by using the bathmate 6sets/6minutes 2-4 times a day, everyday. The thing is he used it outside the tub and never gotten fluid retention.

My point is this. Whenever I've used the bathmate outside the tub, I wouldn't get fluid retention despite the long session. While in the tub I get fluid retention but the suction feels stronger. I use full pressure in both situations. I've gained from using in the tub, but wanted to try out the 6x6 workouts because I've read about not getting fluid retention and still gaining girth. I gain 1" in temporary girth while getting fluid retention, but get only 1/8" in temporary girth pumping outside the tub.

For those whom used the bathmate.
Is fluid retention truly bad?
Did you gain without getting retention?
How often did you workout and how long did you pump for?
Was your expansion as large compared to getting fluid retention?
Apologies for the long post.
Here is the link to the thread.

I've been aggressively pumping in my modded X40 for over 3 years and have noticed that my FR is much less now than when I first began. I also try to pump with the highest EQ as possible, maintaining it throughout each stage. I do all my BM work in the shower (standing) and to conserve water, I reduce the pressure down to as little as possible and still have an enjoyable (read warm) time.
My next experiment will be pumping with a constricting sleeve to see if I can eliminate 100% of FR as well as direct growth more North/South vs. East/West.

In answer to your questions...i don't believe FR is either good or bad...I've consistently gained from day-one (although the initial newbie gains came-on much quicker than now)...I try to have 3-5 sessions per week and they range from Girth program (SRT 5x5x3) to 8X8X3

Did you notice wether short sessions were better than long ones?
I tried 4 sets of 15minutes and that's how I got 1" expansion. I tried 15 5 minute sets and got .75" expansion only because the bath water got cold. I was going to try 5sets/5min three times a day. I think that will keep me pumped all day and into the next.

5 minutes was the average time I came up with as to when fluid retention begins, some later up to 10 minutes. The short 5 minute sets are super-setted with SSJ to counter any retention and to bring greater expansion. 3 sets are usually enough to get you to your max temp girth.

Does fluid retention come when tunica expansion is at its greatest? Is there a way to keep expanding the tunica without getting fluid retention? I usually get fluid retention after a 15 minute set or 4, 5 minute sets. I pump at full vacuum.

The variable that makes the most difference for me is EQ...the higher EQ the lower FR and greater overall session

Bump for an answer to the question.

I get FR regardless. It just depends on how long I pump.

I have been pumping at no eq up to as high as erect, and what I have found for the most post expansion, pump no more that 10 mins but here lately what I have been doing is pumping for 10 to 15 mins straight, clamping after, and then doing 15 mins of jelqing, I have noticed when I pull out and clamp, I hardly have no fluid build up, last night I done this, and noticed 3/4 a inch of expansion.

and one of the reasons, I pump and then do ssjs or jelqs when I get done, is it is a pita to do that in the tub. so I just do it after.

You stated you hardly have no fluid retention, which means you have a lot?

I was thinking of going back to pumping everyday instead of going 4on/3off, simply because my size never fluctuates and stays the same. I'm hoping that the expansion from the pump will cement over time.

Does fluid retention come when tunica expansion is at its greatest?

I have some but not much, and usually its gone in a hour

I'm going to try going in flaccid. That seems to be the general consensus for gaining with the bathmate. Although I did gain while using erect, using flaccid makes more since. Since its a device used to reverse ED, it's supposed to give you an erection. Using it with an erection won't be able to fill your penis with new blood, and instead keep the blood you already have.

do you have the VacuVin mod?

Vacuvin mod is the bomb! A great investment for less than 20 USD.

I can understand the point of going in flaccid. But there's also much sense going in erect; I would say to exercise erect and flaccid. One day could be flaccid pumping up to an erection and then other entering the pump while erected.
For me vitamin V (sildenafil) helps in the latter part.
Of course a balanced and varied diet it important in wholesome well-being. I've implented brazil nuts to my diet as of late, while they are a bit expensive, you only need to eat a few per day, so the bag you buy will last a moment. Definitely refrigerate once you've opened the bag. I keep mine in a sealed container.

Good sessions to every brother out there!

What benefits do Brazil nuts possess?

There's honestly a lot less sense going in erect than flaccid. I went in erect and have gained, but to do so I had to push myself very hard and experience a lot of fluid retention. I usually come out 6.75" girth. I have nothing to lose trying flaccid. Most of the gainer from the bathmate report using it flaccid.

You can't compare the bathmate to a regular air pump. They're two completely different styles of pumping.

It's probably different for everyone. I just notice the bigger pump gainers, whom used a bathmate, used it flaccid.

5 Amazing Health Benefits of Brazil Nuts

1. Anti-Inflammatory

Brazil nuts are great for inflammatory issues in the body because they’re tremendous anti-inflammatory foods. Brazil nuts, as do most nuts, contain ellagic acid. Why is this important? Ellagic acid has high anti-inflammatory properties in the body and can even be neuroprotective. (3)

Another important anti-inflammatory agent in Brazil nuts is selenium, which is hugely important when combating inflammation in the body. Selenium takes part in antioxidant activity that defends against both free radical damage and inflammation. A 2012 study found that just one Brazil nut per day is able to improve anti-inflammatory and antioxidant responses in the body. In the study, 45 patients received one nut a day for three months. After three months of eating on Brazil nut per day, not only did the anti-inflammatory and antioxidant responses improve, but cholesterol levels improved as well. (4)

2. Anticancer

Brazil nuts are also on the list of cancer-fighting foods, again due to their high ellagic acid and selenium levels. Ellagic acid is also antimutagenic and anticancer. (5)

Meanwhile, selenium, an essential biological trace element, has been shown to reduce and prevent the incidence of cancer. A five-year, randomized nutritional intervention study took place in China where esophageal cancer rates are extremely high and selenium intake is low. The results, published in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute, found highly significant inverse associations of serum selenium levels with the incidence of esophageal cancer. (6)

Many health professionals believe and some studies have shown a possible link between having toxic levels of mercury in the body and cancer incidence. Some animal studies show that the selenium can help reduce toxic mercury levels, which can further help fight cancer. (7)

3. Mood Lifter

As mentioned, the No. 1 food source on the planet for selenium is brazil nuts. Selenium has been scientifically proven to lift mood and prevent depression. One study conducted by the Swansea University Department of Psychology in Wales and published in Biological Psychiatry examined selenium’s effects on depression, anxiety and mood. This double-blind study examined 50 volunteers who were given a placebo or 100 micrograms of selenium on a daily basis, and three times throughout the five weeks they filled out a “Profile of Moods Stats” questionnaire.

4. Heart Health Booster

In small amounts, Brazil nuts can provide a healthy boost to one of your most important organs — your heart. The selenium, potassium, calcium and magnesium present in these nuts are all helpful for maintaining a healthy blood pressure, which has a direct positive effect on heart health. (10)

Brazil nuts are naturally high in fat, but most of that fat is the health-boosting unsaturated kind. The unsaturated fats in Brazil nuts can increase your HDL cholesterol levels (good cholesterol). A healthy level of HDL cholesterol can protect against heart attack and stroke, while low levels of HDL cholesterol have been shown to increase the risk of heart disease. (11)

5. Thyroid Control

Your thyroid helps control your metabolism, heart rate and body temperature. The thyroid gland has more selenium content per gram of tissue than any other organ in your body. Selenium is a key component of the molecules that are necessary for your body to be able to create and use thyroid hormones. The selenium in Brazil nuts can help to keep your thyroid in proper working order and in overall good health .

Research now shows, through numerous studies, that there is a link between thyroid metabolism and selenium deficiency. Selenium acts as a catalyst for the production of active thyroid hormones. (12) A 2015 Brazilian study found that people with reduced levels of the thyroid hormone T3 were able to increase their selenium levels via Brazil nut supplementation, which was associated with improvement in thyroid hormone levels in the patients with reduced T3 levels. (13)

Overall, selenium from Brazil nuts acts as a powerful protector of the thyroid and regulates the production of reactive oxygen within the gland, and it protects the body from antibodies that can create thyroid disease. (14) Thus, the Brazil nut can act as a natural remedy for thyroid health, thanks mostly to its selenium content.

Yup, good find! I mainly eat them for the selenium content. They're tasty though, which is an added bonus. (OK, sometimes you ran into a rancid one, but that happens, that's why I noted about the fridge and stuff.)

Selenium is quite big on sperm production, at least by the sources I've read from. I do have multivitamins, bee related products (honey, propolis etc..), matcha ... All kinds of stuff! The matcha I have gave me a very nice buzz a while ago, much different compared to a coffee rush.
All in all, things that boost my body and keep my mind happy.

well in the study I posted it looks like there are some real benefits to Brazil nuts. I knew none of this. We should start and herbal forum to start to collect and classify these things. I have used Cannabis for most of my issues but I am always looking for other ways to improve my life and tackle some of the issues of getting older.
