So I'm trying to figure out what pump I should get. I've used bathmate and had decent success with it, but on my last post the MityVac - Wet and Dry Penis Vacuum Pump System was recommended to me. Anyone who's tried both wanna share their opinions?

Mityvac is extremely professional with many benefits over bathmate. The mityvac is the best choice đź‘Ś

I noticed the diameter on those seemed a lot smaller, does that improve the vacuum?

If you have used Bathmate (Bathmate) and had success, then MityVac will provide you a newer approach. You probably use both wet and dry version for the BM, and you may not hit the proper target pressure to find that sweet spot. If you have not modded your BM to have a gauge, and I can guarantee you that the you have not reach your pressure zone for optimized development.

Yes, this have been discussed various time in the past in the pumping subforums. However, to sum it up:
  • MityVac allows you to gauge your initial pressure at the starting line. This means you don't just "feel" the pressure influence, you also see the measured vacuum pressure influence to record. You need to record the lower baseline pressure, working up the starting line at 5inHg to initiate the optimal growth condition comfortably. If you do not reach this pressure comfortable, you must work it up from 3inHg. This is critical information that most pump company don't tell you. They only tell you how many pump to perform, but nothing afterwards.
  • MityVac, like BM, allows you to use air and water. However, cylinder designs are different. BM designs are pyramidal-elliptical shape. It has a pointy end and a wider base. The influence of vacuum pressure is completely different from air to water. On top of that, BM has a compressible baffles gaiter. It's mainly for pumping purposes, but it's starting to lose its main drive. The hand pump that comes with the HydroXtreme models are taking over the older generation designs. This is where the true gains begins. MityVac already incorporated that into the mix from the start. The cylinders are designed to provide uniform air and water pressure influences across the board.
  • MityVac cylinders are smaller in terms of uniform design, from base to the very top for the glans. It's designed to have efficient pressure to expand the base to the glans equally, and not cause a bat shape effects. No one wants to have a bat shape penis. I like to have a nice mushroom penis, where the glans is larger than the rest of the penis, but that's just me. Most like to have uniform looking penis to maintain penis beautification.
  • MityVac cylinders are designed to have small cylinder pressure influence for length elongation, and larger cylinders for the after length elongation routine. We emphasized 5x5x3 (5 minutes on slow squash jelq, or SSJ, follows by pumping, or vice versa), but those who pursue both girth and length like to use smaller cylinder to prime the tissues up while working on length for a few pump set, then switch over the larger cylinders to hit the tissues to expand the girth at the same time, taking advantage of the tissues while they are still primed from the prior workout. This is a 2 for 1 special. Of those who just want to pursue only girth, a larger cylinder is the best suited option. Say you have a 4in circumference penis. Use a 5.5in circumference cylinder, or even a 6in, will expand your girth like there's no tomorrow.
For the MityVac, the critical points are about diversity and adaptability for all your variable routines. In pumping, never stick to just one routines. There are many routines to play with to optimize your growth. Bathmate is very restrictive when it comes to that variable routine approach. I have both, and I'm currently using my MityVac combo of cylinders 95% now. My modified Bathmate is for when I'm on the go and need to be more compacted.

Thanks so much, that was a super informative answer and I appreciate it! Looking forward to giving it a try, do you prefer water or dry pumping more? I've never tried dry pumping so not really sure how different it is.

If I can use water 100% of the time, I would. After multiple routines from different types, natural oils get stripped quickly. The more water I get exposed to, my glans appears like it has been in the ring with Rocky Balboa for 9 rounds. I have to temporarily switch to air until my glans returns to normal before using water again with skin restoration ointment and oil being used.

But water is more beneficial overall. It has the bonus of iconically charge to being blood flow, warm water boosts blood flow and healing effects, and water produces much greater internal expansion than air for truly effective pumping routine.

Never had this problems. 🤔
Overusing Vaseline during the sessions may be the solution.

Smart solution. Just be sure to clean your gear
